As part of promoting creativity and innovation in the video game industry, a mobile game idea competition is now open to students from Moroccan universities.

Interested students are invited to contact their enrolled institution to submit their projects within the set deadlines.

The submitted project must include a clear and structured description sheet containing the following elements:

1. Originality and Creativity of the Idea
   Presentation of the game concept, highlighting its innovative nature, how it stands out from existing games on the market, and the intended user experience.
2. Gameplay Mechanics
   Description of how the game works: rules, main interactions, types of levels or missions, player progression, reward systems, etc.
3. Theme and Storytelling
   Details about the game’s main theme (fantasy, historical, educational, etc.) and an overview of the story or narrative universe: characters, setting, basic storyline.
4. Technical Feasibility and Target Platforms
   Assessment of how realistic it is to implement the idea: required technologies, planned development tools, compatibility with specific platforms (Android, iOS…).
5. Target Audience and Market Potential
   Identification of the intended audience (children, teens, adults, casual or expert gamers) and a preliminary analysis of the game’s potential in the market (uniqueness, engagement, monetization…).
6. Illustrations and Concept Art
   Inclusion of sketches, drafts, visual mockups, or any graphical element that helps visualize the game’s world, interface, or main characters.

Projects will be evaluated by a committee of video game experts.

Opening of competition registration.

Closing of competition registration.

– Thursday, June 12, 2025 :

Candidate selection and results announcement at university.

– Friday, June 20, 2025 :

Regional consolidation of selected candidates and results announcement by MJCC and MESRSI.

– Saturday, July 5, 2025 :

Idea pitch by the finalists in front of an international expert jury at MGE 2025.

– Sunday, July 6, 2025 :

Award ceremony for the winners.
