Rabat, November 13, 2025

The Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication (MJCC), the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG), and CDG Invest have signed a strategic partnership agreement for the implementation of the “Gamification Lab” program. This initiative serves as a lever for innovation and the valorization of Moroccan talent in the gaming industry sector, aiming to stimulate youth creativity, encourage entrepreneurship, and strengthen Morocco’s position in this rapidly expanding field.

The program aims to create a national platform dedicated to the promotion and procurement of gamification solutions developed by Moroccan studios for public and private stakeholders. This is intended to encourage the emergence of a national gaming industry, support innovation and the production of Moroccan digital content, foster the creation of qualified and sustainable jobs, and strengthen the ecosystem of Moroccan startups specialized in the gaming industry.

It also seeks to promote the use of gamification as a tool serving the collective interest in essential sectors such as education, health, culture, employment, and tourism, thereby contributing to the development of an inclusive and creative digital economy.

The implementation of the program will be structured around identifying the gamification needs of public and private stakeholders, signing specific agreements with beneficiaries, and launching Calls for Expressions of Interest to select and support Moroccan development studios.

Signing of a partnership agreement between the National Museum Foundation (FNM), the Royal Moroccan Federation of Electronic Games (FRMJE), and the Regional League of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra for Electronic Games (LRRSK), with the aim of promoting digital culture and video games.

This agreement aims to strengthen joint cooperation for the advancement of digital culture and video games, thereby leading to the enhancement of artistic and cultural heritage through innovative and educational initiatives.

As part of this agreement, the Royal Moroccan Federation of Electronic Games will participate in enriching the museum visiting experience by integrating Video games within museums, making them more interactive and engaging, especially for youth. The Federation also pledges to highlight the social and educational dimensions of these games and strive for their integration into the Olympic Games.

For its part, the Regional League of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra for Electronic Games will develop interactive games suitable for each museum and provide educational rooms equipped with the necessary materials, such as computers and PlayStation devices, in addition to graphic design harmonious with the identity of each museum, with the goal of creating an immersive and attractive environment for visitors.

The President of the National Museum Foundation, Mr. Mehdi Qotbi, affirmed in a press statement that the signing of this agreement, which is of paramount importance to the Foundation, reflects a desire to attract youth to museums. He stated that “This initiative represents a real opportunity to spark the curiosity of young people to discover museums, as they are the generation of the future who must fully own their heritage.”

He highlighted that museums are increasingly attracting youth, particularly university students, recalling that Morocco boasts nearly 24 museums distributed across the national territory, offering diverse exhibitions to an audience that follows them with growing interest. Mr. Qotbi added that museums enrich the national tourism offering by giving visitors the opportunity to discover this rich and exceptional heritage.

For his part, the President of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Electronic Games, Mr. Hicham El Khlifi, emphasized that this agreement is fully consistent with the Royal Vision, which focuses on constant and continuous attention to youth.

After mentioning that the Federation brings together a large number of young people passionate about Esports, Mr. El Khlifi stressed the importance of bringing museums closer to these young individuals. He clarified that Esports combine multiple forms of art, such as graphics, design, and digital images, which makes this collaboration with museums “appropriate and promising.”

This agreement represents a significant step in the digital transformation of the museums affiliated with the National Museum Foundation, by building a bridge that connects cultural heritage with modern technologies.
